What a location. A pavilion-like restaurant between Putney and Wandsworth bridges, Ghillies has corking river views. And you're not short of seats to enjoy them from either. The modern dining room extends out into a jetty, while the relaxed cocktail bar below spills out on to terrace tables from where you can watch the sun set as you breathe in the clean air. You can come for brunch, lunch and dinner, as long as you like marvellous European food, like roast duck breast on a bed of slow cooked cabbage with a chocolate, cranberry and crème fraiche jus. As well as seasonal a la carte menus, daily specials and a £12.50 working lunch option, there's also a bistro menu. Marvellous, really
